Full of spices but not spicy, this is a mild Japanese-style curry with jasmine rice. This one has both visible AND hidden veggies. Diced pasture-raised chicken with organic carrots, and peas (the veggies you can see), a Japanese curry is typically sweeter and far more mild than a typical Indian-style curry. With no added sweeteners, the sauce is flavored with genius (well, we think, anyway) blend of caramelized onion, pureed roasted sweet potato,  steamed butternut squash (the hidden veggies) and applesauce.

A great way to introduce your kids to some wonderful spices such as turmeric (so good for you!) cumin, cardamon and ginger and to extend their palate a little, while keeping it chilli-spicy-free.

Since this dish is just as popular with our parents as with the kids, we are introducing this in both "small" (for kids) and "tall" (for bigger kids and grown ups) sizes. 

Ingredients

Pasture-raised chicken, organic carrot, peas, roasted sweet potato, butternut squash, unsweetened apple sauce (apples, water and ascorbic acid (vitamin c)), jasmine rice, caramelized onion (onion, extra virgin olive oil), curry roux (virgin coconut oil, tapioca flour, cumin, coriander, ginger, turmeric, cardamom, cinnamon, mustard, black pepper, clove, nutmeg), gluten free organic tamari (water, organic soybeans, salt, organic alcohol (to preserve freshness), organic tomato paste (organic tomato paste, citric acid), ginger, garlic sea salt.

Heating & Serving Instructions

Guidelines only, appliances may vary.

Microwave
Pierce film or peel back corner. 
Frozen: Heat on HIGH for 3 min 15 sec. 
Chilled: Heat on HIGH for 1 min 45 sec.

Oven
Toaster oven not recommended.
Preheat oven to 350F. Remove film and cover with foil. Place tray on sheet pan.
Frozen: 30 min.
Chilled: 25 min.

Let stand for 1 min before serving.

Curry component also suitable for reheating on stovetop.
